    • An apparatus and a method for measuring the center of gravity of a slab are provided to confirm the center of gravity of a slab loaded in a vehicle and moved rapidly and correctly and grip the center of gravity of the slab with an unmanned crane to prevent the unmanned crane from dropping the slab due to eccentricity of the slab. The driver vertically moves the photographing unit. The controller calculates the centers of gravity and gripping points of slabs transferred one time by using position and shape information of each slab, obtained through the photographing unit, and size or weight information received from the main system. The unmanned crane grips and transfers the slabs according to gripping point information obtained by the centroid measurement system.

The left tong piece and the right tong piece are composed of a hinge part which is rotatably coupled to the frame by a pivot shaft. The front end of a piston rod of the jawing hydraulic cylinder is rotatably coupled to a wing part.
