    • PURPOSE: A ship propulsion system is provided to effectively obtain a propulsion force when the main drive source of a ship is not in operation. CONSTITUTION: A main drive source(1) provides a driving force for a ship. A waste heat recovery part(20) comprises a steam generator(2), a first turbine(42) activated by the steam generator, a generator(5), and a second turbine(41). The steam generator creates steam using the heat emitted from the main drive source. The generator produces electricity by the first turbine to provide additional driving force. A boiler(3) supplies steam to the first turbine. The second turbine is activated by waste has exhausted from the main drive source.

    • An apparatus and method of propelling a ship is provided to increase entire propulsion efficiency by reheating steam which remains after a high-pressure steam turbine is driven, delivering the reheated steam to a middle-pressure steam turbine to drive it, and thereafter driving a low-pressure steam turbine. An apparatus of propelling a ship is intended to drive steam turbines by generating steam in a main boiler and sequentially feeding the steam through a steam supply line to a high-pressure steam turbine(11) and a low-pressure steam turbine(13). The apparatus includes a middle-pressure steam turbine(15) between the high-pressure steam turbine and the low-pressure steam turbine. Steam supplied to the middle-pressure steam turbine is the steam which is obtained by reheating steam remaining after the high-pressure steam turbine is driven. Rotating shafts of the high-pressure steam turbine and the low-pressure steam turbine are connected to a propelling reduction gear(21). The rotating shaft of the middle-pressure steam turbine is coaxial with the rotating shaft of the high-pressure steam turbine and is coupled to the propelling reduction gear. A propeller(23) is coupled to the rear end of the propelling reduction gear. A power take off is coupled to the propelling reduction gear, and includes a generator having a reduction gear, a clutch, and a backup steam turbine.

    • PURPOSE: A resistance reducing apparatus using the waste heat of a ship is provided to minimize frictional resistance generated according to the movement of a ship and to easily control the amount of compressive air discharged to the bottom of a ship in proportion to the operational states of an engine. CONSTITUTION: A resistance reducing apparatus using the waste heat of a ship comprises a turbo charger, a heat exchanger(200), a turbine(300), an air compressing part(400), an air feeding part(500), and a control part. The turbo charger is operated by exhaust gas exhausted form an engine. The heat exchanger heat exchangers the exhaust gas receiving from the turbo charger and working fluid. The turbine is driven by the working fluid heat-exchanged while passing through the heat exchanger. The air compressor is connected to the turbine in a same axis and generates compressive air with the turbine. The air feeding part feeds the compressive air to the bottom of a ship. The control part controls the amount of fed air fed from the air feeding part.     • PURPOSE: A cooling water providing apparatus for a ship is provided to stably operate a variety of equipment in an emergency while reducing the number of water suction ports and pipes. CONSTITUTION: A cooling water providing apparatus for a ship comprises first and second water suction ports(11,21), first and second seawater supply pipes(13,23) and a connection pipe(30). The first suction port sucks seawater in order to indirectly cool general equipment. The first seawater supply pipe supplies the seawater in order to indirectly cool the general equipment(1). In order that the steam which passed a steam turbine condenses, the second suction port sucks the seawater provided to a main condenser(27). The second seawater supply pipe supplies the seawater sucked from the second suction port to the main condenser. If the seawater is unable to be sucked from the first suction port, the connection pipe connects the first and second seawater supply pipes to supply the seawater sucked from the second water suction port to the first seawater supply pipe.
