    • PURPOSE: A method for controlling an air conditioner for a vehicle is provided to prevent the overcooling of an evaporator regardless of the cycling generation of an evaporator and ON/OFF state of a compressor. CONSTITUTION: A method for controlling an air conditioner for a vehicle is as follows. A control unit calculates the target temperature of an evaporator based on the air conditioning conditions input by a user(S110). The RPM of a compressor is determined whether the minimum RPM or not by a controller(S120). In case the RPM of a compressor is in minimum state, the controller compares the target temperature and the real temperature of an evaporator. In case the real time temperature is lower than the target temperature, the controller supplies the air in an engine room to the evaporator.

    • PURPOSE: A supercooling preventive device of an evaporator for a vehicle and a control method thereof are provided to keep constant indoor temperature, and to restrict supercooling of the evaporator by returning hot air to the evaporator with connecting the hot air return duct between the heater core and the evaporator. CONSTITUTION: A return duct(30) connects a heater core(20) to an evaporator(10). An actuator driving opening valve(50) is mounted in the return duct, and an actuator(40) is connected to a controller(60) coupled to a thermistor(70) mounted in the evaporator fin. The return duct is connected between the back stream space of the heater core and the air inlet space of the evaporator. Hot air through the heater core is streamed into the inlet space of the evaporator through the return duct in supercooling the evaporator, and mixed with air flowing into the evaporator. Supercooling of the evaporator is restricted with contacting hot air to the supercooled core fin of the evaporator.

A baffle is installed at one of the tanks for partitioning refrigerant flowed in, and refrigerant flowed out. Inlet and outlet manifold tubes are inserted between the tubes, and include manifolds extended to one side of the tank for combining inlet and outlet pipes. Heat dissipating fins are interposed between the tubes. A passage restricting element(150) restricts the passages to uniformly distribute the refrigerant flowing in the tanks to the passage of each tube. The passage restricting element has shutting beads(151) blocking the utmost passages among the passages to reduce an amount of the refrigerant directly flowed into the neck bead parts.

    • PURPOSE: A thermistor for an evaporator of a vehicle air conditioner and a method for controlling on/off of a compressor using the same are provided to efficiently prevent frost of an evaporator by turning on and off a compressor at accurate points. CONSTITUTION: A thermistor(11a) is formed in a structure that a flat aluminum cap(12) covers a heat sensing element of a front end of the thermistor. In sensing a temperature, the aluminum cap including the heat sensing element is inserted into a space between fins inside an evaporator. A CPU of an air conditioner controller receives an electric signal from the thermistor. If the CPU judges that a temperature of a surface of the evaporator is decreased to 1.5 degrees, the CPU turns off a compressor. After turning off the compressor, the CPU judges whether the temperature of the surface of the evaporator is increased to 3 degrees. If so, the CPU turns on the compressor.
