    • The present invention relates to a wet-type electrostatic precipitator which electrically charges polluted air to collect fine particles. Specifically, the present invention relates to a wet-type electrostatic precipitator comprising: a charging unit which comprises a body having flow passages to allow polluted air to be movable, an ion generator installed in the body and including ion-generating carbon fibers, and a voltage application device applying a high voltage to the ion generator; and an electrostatic precipitation unit which electrostatically collects fine particles charged in the charging unit. The electrostatic precipitation unit consists of a first metal dust collection plate, and an insulation dust collection plate formed by coating a nonmetallic material on the surface of a second metal dust collection plate. Therefore, the generation of ozone is inhibited due to the carbon fibers capable of generating ions even under voltages lower than voltages applied in corona discharges, and power consumption is reduced. Simultaneously, the first metal dust collection plate and the insulation dust collection plate are arranged in parallel, thereby reducing production costs and enhancing dust collection efficiency while excluding the risk of electric current even in a washing process of the dust collection plates.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for removing volatile organic compounds and for deodorizing bad smell gas using corona plasma is provided to prevent an excessive pressure loss and the lowering of life, and to reduce an installation/maintenance fee. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus is used to remove VOC(volatile organic compound) and to deodorize bad smell gas inevitably generated in various production process and environmental industry. The VOC and the bad smell gas are dissolved or deodorized while passing a plasma environment produced by corona discharge. The plasma environment is produced between a flat plate shaped ground electrode regularly arranged in a housing of a plasma reactor(50) and a wire shaped discharge electrode disposed between the ground electrodes. The discharge electrode is provided with a high voltage pulse signal required to cause the corona discharge. An inlet opening and an outlet opening of the housing are connected with an inlet duct(30) and an outlet duct(40) respectively, and a vent fan(70) is coupled to the outlet duct to forcibly vent air. A dust collector(20) is disposed on the front end of the inlet duct to devise the more effective process of the VOC/bad smell gas by removing dust particles contained in the VOC/bad smell gas before injecting the VOC/bad smell gas into the plasma reactor.
