    • PURPOSE: Multipurpose oxygen manufacturing system and method using PSA(pressure swing adsorption) process are provided to maximize desorption performance using an internal heat exchanger which uses adsorption characteristics of an adsorbent to the highest degree, and maximize a purity of oxygen using reverse pressure equalization in separating oxygen from air. CONSTITUTION: The multipurpose oxygen manufacturing system using PSA(pressure swing adsorption) process comprises two adsorption columns(1,2) a part of which are filled with a first adsorbent, and in which a main adsorbent is filled on the upper part of the first adsorbent; two heat exchangers(10) which are arranged between an air compressor(4) and a radiator(7) at the upper part of the outlet side of the adsorption columns(1,2), and which increases desorption efficiency by increasing a temperature of cleaning gas using a temperature of the air compressed by the compressor(4), thereby maintaining a high temperature, and increases adsorption efficiency by lowering a temperature of a raw gas, thereby maintaining a low temperature during adsorption; an oxygen storage tank(3) which is separated from the adsorption system by a check valve(22) so as to always obtain a uniform flow rate of oxygen; pressure equalized gas flow tubes(35) for pressure equalization comprising solenoid valves(15,16) which are connected from an end part of the outlet of an adsorption column to an arbitrary middle point of the lower part of the other adsorption column; a plural flow tube means(32,33) which connect two adsorption columns(1,2) and the oxygen storage tank(3) arranged between the adsorption columns(1,2) with the heat exchangers(10) in the shortest length; a cleaning flow control valve(20) capable of sending oxygen having a high concentration by controlling a flow rate of the cleaning gas, and an oxygen flow rate control valve(21) capable of controlling a purity of oxygen by varying an exhaust amount of oxygen; and a plurality of check valves(13,14,22) which are installed between the outlet sides of the adsorption columns(1,2) and the inlet side of the oxygen storage tank(3).
