    • An extract of a natural plant such as Daphne genkwa, Zingiber officinale, Xanthium strumarium, and Pharbitis nil and a composition comprising the same are provided to be usefully used as a controlling agent for controlling Meloidogyne spp. and mites environment-friendly. A method for preparing the plant extract comprises the steps of: (a) after drying plants selected from the group consisting of Daphne genkwa, Zingiber officinale, Xanthium strumarium, and Pharbitis nil in the shade, crushing the dried plants; (b) mixing the powder sample obtained from the step(a) with alcohol, hexane or distilled water and culturing a mixture; and (c) purifying a cultured reaction solution using a filter paper. To control the Meloidogyne spp. and mites, seedling right before planting is dipped in a dilution solution of the composition and an agent comprising the composition as an effective ingredient. Further, the extract is one or more selected from alcohol extract, hexane extract, hot-water extract and cold-water extract.
