    • PURPOSE: A laser machining apparatus is provided to obtain uniform quality of bidirectional scribing and breaking by controlling the conditions of beam irradiating a material according to the direction of scribing. CONSTITUTION: A laser machining apparatus comprises one or more laser generators(200), first and second laser heads(300a,300b), a cooling fluid injector(400), and a mode selector. The cooling fluid injector is located between the first and second laser heads and sprays cooling fluid on a brittle material. The mode selector drives one of the laser heads located ahead in a machining direction into a scribing mode where a laser beam is standardized into a plurality of beams arranged in the machining direction and irradiates the brittle material and drives the other one into either a split mode where the brittle material is irradiated with a laser beam to induce thermal impact and split along a scribing line or an off mode where no laser beam is provided.

    • PURPOSE: A laser processing machine and a processing method are provided to improve a processing speed by performing reciprocating scribing and to perform the scribing and full cutting so that a separate process and facilities for breaking are not necessary. CONSTITUTION: A laser processing machine comprises a laser head(300) and a cooling fluid sprayer. The laser head divides laser beam incident from a laser generator into a plurality of emitted laser beams(L1,L2,L3,L4), thereby irradiating the divided laser beams to a surface of a workpiece(W). The cooling fluid sprayer is positioned in a machining direction at a lower side of the laser head, thereby forming a scribing line on the surface of the workpiece by spraying cooling fluid to the workpiece.
