    • PURPOSE: A decanter capable of gradually filtering foreign materials by including a multi-stage screen is provided to reduce the maintenance cost of the decanter by decreasing the operation number for removing the foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A decanter(D) comprises the following: a main body(10) including a sealed chamber(20) formed on the upper side of the main body; screen chambers(12) radially formed along to the circumference of the main body using plural partition walls; a discharging pipe(30) for discharging surface water from the main body; a multi-stage screen(50) being inserted and discharged from the screen chambers using an opening/closing unit(40); and a sharing chamber for collecting the surface water. The multi-stage screen forms unit screens(51) for filtering foreign materials.

    • A scum skimmer of a water treatment plant is provided to maximize a removal effect of the floating scum by allowing a collecting member to discharge floating scum to one side along a rotating chain, minimize drain of treated water in the process of removing the floating scum, and enable the collecting member to remove the floating scum smoothly although treated water varies to a certain degree of a water level in a treatment tank. In a scum skimmer of a water treatment plant, which removes floating scum generated on the surface of water in a treatment tank(10), the scum skimmer of the water treatment plant comprises: a drive unit including sprocket wheels(21') installed on respective corners of the treatment tank and between the corners, a chain(22) which is laid over the sprocket wheels(21'), rotated as an endless track, and linked with the sprocket wheels(21') by a sprocket wheel(21) rotated by a drive part(23); a collecting member(30) of which an outer end is rotatably connected to the chain by a hinge to pick the floating scum on the surface of water according to a movement of the chain; a coiler(50) rotatably and axially installed on a bracket(40) fixed to a wall face of the treatment tank at one of the corners of the treatment tank such that the coiler elastically winds or draws out the collecting member; and a discharge hopper(60) which is installed under the coiler, of which an inlet is positioned on the surface of water, and which has a discharge pipe formed on a lower end thereof to discharge the floating scum to the outside.
