    • A single type cleaning device is provided to enhance cleaning capability by performing cleaning on upper and lower surfaces of substrates through ultrasound wave oscillation. A single type cleaning device includes a propagation water supply unit(6) and an oscillation unit(7). The propagation water supply unit supplies propagation water to a lower surface of a substrate. The oscillation unit disposed close to the substrate to form a propagation water film(5) under the substrate applies ultrasound wave oscillation to the propagation water film. The ultrasound wave oscillation applied to the propagation water film is penetrated through the substrate and then the penetrated ultrasound wave oscillation is applied to cleaning water(3) on an upper surface(W1) of the substrate. Then the upper surface of the substrate is cleaned.

    • An ultrasonic cleaning apparatus and an ultrasonic cleaning method are provided to prevent damages due to particle acceleration by using an ultrasonic transducer for applying an ultrasonic vibration in a transverse direction. An ultrasonic transducer(3) generates an ultrasonic vibration. The ultrasonic transducer is mounted on a unit(2) for contacting a cleaning liquid(9) to which the ultrasonic vibration is applied to a workpiece(10). The ultrasonic transducer applies the ultrasonic vibration in a transverse direction to a surface of the unit where the ultrasonic transducer is mounted, so that the ultrasonic vibration is applied to the cleaning liquid.
