摘要： An apparatus and a method for controlling background music in a mobile communication system are provided to adjust control function about background music reproduction in a background state using a predetermined hot-key without changing background music reproducing function to a main menu, thereby improving the inconvenience of a user. A method for controlling background music in a mobile communication system comprises the following steps of: checking whether specific hot-key is inputted while reproducing the background music; outputting a background music reproducing control box while maintaining data and program about current main work in a memory; changing function mapping of serial predetermined keys after outputting the background music reproducing control box; checking whether mapped key related to the background music reproducing function control is inputted; and controlling background music reproducing function.
