    • The present invention relates to a method for molding a high thermal resistant sound-absorbing substance which is mounted on an engine cylinder block of a vehicle and an upper vehicle body panel of a muffler by using sound-absorbing material consisting of 20-80 parts by weight of fiber materials with a limited oxygen index (LOI) of 25% or more and a thermal resistant temperature of 200°C or greater and 20-80 parts by weight of thermosetting resins with a thermal resistant temperature of 200°C or greater and, more specifically, to a method for molding a high thermal resistant sound-absorbing substance comprising: a release agent spraying step of spraying a releasing agent to the inner space of a hot-working mold; a hot-working compressed molding step of fixing a shape; and a cool-working compressing step of stabilizing the shape. The high thermal resistant sound-absorbing substance molded by the method is able to reduce the interior noise of a vehicle by preventing a radiated noise generated from an engine and exhaust system from being transferred to the inside of the vehicle through a vehicle body panel; is able to maintain a shape even in the hot environments of 200°C or greater generated in the engine and the exhaust system; and is able to satisfy the flame retardant of UL 94V-0.

    • The present invention relates to a sound-absorbing material for vehicles comprising a first sound-absorbing layer made up of a fibrous material and absorbing noise and a second sound-absorbing layer made up of a fibrous material and absorbing a low-frequency sound transferred through the first sound-absorbing layer. By forming the second sound-absorbing layer, the sound-absorbing material for vehicle is able to absorb the low-frequency sound and it is highly efficient in absorbing the high-frequency sound as there is no layer for sound insulation between the first and the second sound-absorbing layers, thereby reducing interior noise of vehicles. Furthermore, since the first and the second sound-absorbing layers are composed of the fibrous material, the sound-absorbing material can be lightened. In addition, since the material is reusable, an environmentally-friendly sound-absorbing material for vehicles can be provided.
