    • PURPOSE: A variable capacity alternator is provided to supplement charging amount at low speed according to the change of pulley ratio, to prevent unnecessary charging by reducing driving horsepower at high speed, to reduce noise and vibration of the alternator, and to increase output of the engine. CONSTITUTION: A variable capacity alternator is composed of a rotary shaft(31); a pair of symmetrical bodies(32a,32b) shaft-fixed to the rotary shaft and regulated horizontally at a predetermined gap; and a variable unit(35) mounted on symmetrical surfaces(33a,33b) facing the bodies to each other and installed with a V-belt supported in a V-shaped groove formed at the outer diameter. The V-belt moves vertically along an inclined surface of the V-shaped groove by contracting or expanding a gap between the bodies.

CONSTITUTION: An oil pump for automobile comprises an intake port to intake oil from an oil pan, a pump casing having an outlet port to deliver compressed oil to friction part of engine, an inner gear and an outer gear to compress the intake oil, a relief valve to return the compressed oil to the oil pan by a bypass line when the oil has a more than predetermined pressure. The pump casing(10) has a plurality of bearing housing(30). A plurality of roller bearing(32) are inserted into the bearing housing(30) bearing with the outer gear(24).

    • PURPOSE: A combining structure of an oil pump is provided to improve the productivity of an engine by integrating an oil pump with an oil pan and to reduce the weight and size of the engine. CONSTITUTION: An oil pan(11) is formed in the lower portion of an engine(10). An oil pump(12) is produced by forming an internal gear(13) and an external gear(14) for pumping oil on one inner face of the oil pan, forming an inlet pipe(15) communicated to the inside of the oil pan in one side of the external gear, and forming an outlet pipe(16) connected with the engine in the other side of the external gear. A cover(17) closes the oil pump, and a sprocket(19) is protruded out of the oil pan while a central shaft(21) thereof is connected to the rotating shaft of the internal gear. The sprocket is connected to the rotating shaft of the engine via a timing belt(20). As the oil pump is integrated with the oil pan, the structure of the engine is compacted.

    • PURPOSE: An engine lubrication system is provided to enhance lubrication efficiency by using a drain pressure drained from an oil-hydraulic pressure regulator. CONSTITUTION: A lubrication system for an engine comprises an oil pan for storing and supplying oil and an oil pump sucking the oil from the oil pan with a strainer and delivering the oil to respective frictional parts of an engine. Herein, one end of a drain conduit(1) is mounted at an oil drain hole(3) of a hydraulic pressure regulator. Onto the drain conduit, an oil jet(2) is mounted corresponding to a piston(62). With RPM(Revolution Per Minute) over an idle level, the oil-hydraulic pressure generated from the oil pump pushes a plunger(52) against the elasticity of a spring(51) in the hydraulic pressure regulator. Thereafter the hydraulic pressure is discharged through the oil drain hole. Therefore, the hydraulic pressure supplied to a main conduit(60) is maintained uniform. By applying the drain pressure to lubrication of the lower portion of the piston via the oil jet, hydraulic loss is reduced. Further, lubrication efficiency is elevated.
