    • PURPOSE: A camera tempering detecting method and a system for the same are provided to detect various camera tempering situations without an error and to efficiently use resources of the system. CONSTITUTION: After detecting a background area from an image, a ratio of the background area in the image is calculated. After calculating a maximum value of differences between adjacent pixel values of a horizontal row in the image, variation of a sum of maximum values about total horizontal rows is monitored. A global motion vector in the image is calculated. Occurrence of camera tempering is determined if the ratio of the background area exceeds a predetermined reference value, the sum of the maximum values maintains a certain value for predetermined time, or a sum of global motion vectors exceeds a predetermined reference quantity (S6). [Reference numerals] (AA) Start; (BB) End; (S1) Receive images for multiple channels from an external photographing device; (S2) Integrate some of all the images into one image upon a user's setting; (S3) Order a preprocessing unit to preprocess the integrated image in order to detect a camera tempering; (S4) Extract the values of a background area with little changes from the integrated image; (S5) Identify a foreground area, which seems to include living entities, with regard to the background values detected from the integrated image; (S6) Identify camera tempering for each channel image by check whether they satisfy a set of detection standards regarding background ratio, pixel value differences, and global motion values; (S7) Output the image analysis results in an integrated image
