    • PURPOSE: A method for controlling communication between a cell multiplexer/demultiplexer and plural master processors is provided to perform state management with a protocol where one lower unit periodically notifies a service available state, not by making plural upper processors monitor a connection state of one lower unit. CONSTITUTION: If a cell multiplexer/demultiplexer is turned on, an initialization code is performed(411). Each IPC(Inter Processor Communication) channel for 8 pairs processors is set through IPC addresses of the processors automatically calculated from an address of the cell multiplexer/demultiplexer(412). An on-line state of the cell multiplexer/demultiplexer is broadcasted to the 8 pairs processors through a message requesting a response of an application block in charge of operation, control and management(413). If any response message is not received from the 8 pairs upper processors, it is regarded that an application block managing the cell multiplexer/demultiplexer does not exist and contents of a transmission/receiving search table are configured as default(415). If a response message is received from one of the 8 pairs processors, contents of the transmission/receiving search table are changed according to system configuration to update the table(416). If a message to change the transmission/receiving search table due to addition or removal of a processor is delivered(417), contents of the transmission/receiving search table are changed(416). And the cell multiplexer/demultiplexer diagnoses its board state and other board states through the IPC channels, to periodically deliver the diagnosed states to each processor.

      2. 발명이 해결하려고 하는 기술적 과제
      본 발명은, 비동기전달모드(ATM) 교환기 등과 같이 분산/계층 구조를 갖는 시스템에서 시스템 운용프로세서가 이중화로 운용되는 셀 다중/역다중화 장치(CMDA)의 상태를 효율적으로 관리할 수 있도록 상위 프로세서에 프로세서간통신(IPC) 메시지를 이용하여 보고하고, CMDA의 기능 장애를 신속히 감지하여 상위 프로세서에 보고하거나 자체적으로 복구함으로써, 셀 손실을 줄이기 위한 상태관리방법 및 상기 방법을 실현시키기 위한 프로그램을 기록한 컴퓨터로 읽을 수 있는 기록매체를 제공하고자 함.

    • PURPOSE: A method for restoring a process failure through duplexing of a process in a duplexed system is provided to continue a work by a standby process, thereby maintaining the efficiency of a network and reducing time required for obtaining latest routing information. CONSTITUTION: An active process generated by a main process generates a standby process and registers a PID(Process Identifier) at a structure with a process inter-working the same work(401,402,403,404). If recovery is smaller than a set value, the active process executes the work(405,406). If the active access meets a checkpoint, the active access generates a new standby process and continuously executes the work(407,408,409,410). If the work is completed, a flag reporting a work completion is generated(411,412). The active process transmits a signal 1 to the main process and transited to a signal standby state(413,414). If the main process transmits a termination signal, the active process is terminated(415). The generated standby process registers a PID and maintains a signal standby state(416,417). If the main process transmits the signal 1, a synchronization request flag is read to grasp whether the active process is terminated(418,419,420,422). If a synchronization request flag is set, a coefficient is increased to be transmitted to the main process(425,426,427,428). An associated structure is read to grasp whether associated process exists(423,424). If not, a new standby process is generated(435). The generated standby process reads a PID structure for transmitting a termination signal to the previously made standby process(430,431). A cell counter(443) counts the number of cells transmitted to the transmission FIFOs(431-43N) from the transmission controllers(421-42N), and counts the number of cells transmitted to the transmission FIFO(43(N+1)) from the local processor(441), according to the cell storage completion signals. The cell counter(443) counts the number of cells transmitted from the transmission FIFOs(431-43N) through the transmission FIFO controller(442) according to the cell transmission completion signal, and outputs a FIFO request signal.
