    • The present invention relates to a method for preparing a carbon filter having porous nickel deposited thereon by depositing nickel on the surface of carbon fibers via an electroless nickel plating method and forming pores on the surface via thermal treatment at a temperature ranging from 300°C to 800°C. The method for preparing a carbon filter having porous nickel deposited thereon according to the present invention enables a user to simply form nickel nanopores via electroless plating and thermal treatment at a temperature ranging from 300°C to 800°C. Accordingly the preparing method is simpler and economical. Also the carbon filter can be used as a catalyst for adsorbing the particles of foreign materials because the size and distribution of the pores can be controlled by simple temperature adjustment. Also the carbon filter can be used as a medium for depositing metal or a metal oxide because the metal and the metal oxide can be supported on the carbon filter having porous nickel deposited thereon.
