    • PURPOSE: A method for reducing the content of iron in an aluminum-silicon alloy using centrifugal separation and the aluminum-silicon alloy manufactured by the same are provide to rapidly separate and remove the iron contained in the aluminum-silicon alloy with a simple process. CONSTITUTION: A method for reducing the content of iron in an aluminum-silicon alloy using centrifugal separation is as follows: a step of melting aluminum-silicon alloy scraps containing 1 wt.% or more of the iron (S10); a step of air-cooling the melted aluminum-silicon alloy scraps until 3-phase primary crystals containing the iron are formed (S20); a step of applying centrifugal force to the melted scraps right when the 3-phase primary crystals are formed (S30); a step of reducing the content of the iron in the aluminum-silicon alloy scraps by removing primary crystal formed portions with three or more phases containing the iron to get the aluminum-silicon alloy with improved purity (S40).
