    • PURPOSE: A multi-story displacement-amplifying and vibration-control system is provided to enhance absorbing and dissipating energy of a damper by amplifying the displacement of a structure caused by earthquake and applying the displacement to the damper. CONSTITUTION: A multi-story displacement-amplifying and vibration-control system comprises vertical frames(200a,200b), and a vibration control device(20). The vertical frames are installed in parallel to the column(301) of a building structure(300). The vibration control device is installed over different stories of the building structure using the vertical frames. The vibration control device consists of one damper(90) and two bracing members(83,84). One end of the damper is rotatably connected to one end of the bracing member at one node. The other end of the damper is rotatably connected to the node formed on a first vertical frame and is arranged to a second vertical frame in diagonal direction.

    • PURPOSE: A displacement-amplifying vibration isolating system comprising a plurality of angle-type eccentric rotating plates is provided to show sufficient energy dissipation ability within the damage displacement of a structure and to maximize the displacement of a damper by amplifying transversal displacement of a structure. CONSTITUTION: A displacement-amplifying vibration isolating system comprising a plurality of angle-type eccentric rotating plates comprises a plurality of link members(11~14), a pair of eccentric rotating plates(70), a damper(20) and a support member(50). The link members are connected to a structure and are hinge-coupled each other. The eccentric rotating plates connect a support point(P0) to the joint of a pair of link members and the joint of another pair of link members. The damper is hinge-coupled between the first point of actions(P1) of the eccentric rotating plates to absorb the displacement of a structure. The support member is installed on the second point of action(P2) of the eccentric rotating plates and is connected to each upper corner of the structure.

    • A connection structure between a new building and the existing building is provided to connect new buildings adjacent to the existing building horizontally via a horizontal connection damper to improve the earthquake-resistance of the existing building. A connection structure between a new building and the existing building comprises a connection girder(31) and a connection bottom plate(32) which are connected to the existing building(10) when constructing a new building(20). The connection girder and bottom plate are extended toward the existing building. A damper(40) is equipped on the existing building side end of the girder. One end of the damper is fixed to the existing building so that only the end of the girder of the new building is connected to the existing building via the damper and earthquake load acting on the existing building is attenuated by the damper.
