    • Disclosed is a plasma display panel having a low-cost transparent electrode, which has small variations among discharge characteristics of each discharge cell and can display high-quality images. A scan electrode comprises a scan transparent electrode formed on a front substrate by using a dispersion liquid containing metal fine particles or metal oxide fine particles, and a scan bus electrode formed on the front substrate. A sustain electrode comprises a sustain transparent electrode formed on the front substrate by using a dispersion liquid containing metal fine particles or metal oxide fine particles, and a sustain bus electrode formed on the front substrate. A discharge gap is formed by the scan bus electrode and the sustain bus electrode. The outer edge portion of the scan transparent electrode on the discharge gap side overlaps the scan bus electrode, and the outer edge portion of the sustain transparent electrode on the discharge gap side overlaps the sustain bus electrode.
