    • PURPOSE: An electric dust collecting device is provided to increase dust collecting efficiency by irradiating sound wave onto a corona discharging region and thus enlarging an ion generating region. CONSTITUTION: The electric dust collector includes a charging section and a dust collecting section(2). The charging section has a discharging electrode(6), a counter electrode(7) and a sound wave generating members for irradiating a discharging space containing at least a discharging electrode section with a sound wave. By irradiating the sound wave, the discharging region of corona discharging is enlarged and dust particles passing therethrough are coagulated and dust collecting efficiency at a dust collecting filter(8) provided in the dust collecting section is increased.

    • PURPOSE: An electric dust collector, a method of collecting dust and a blower using the same are provided charge dust efficiently with less power consumption and yet increase a dust collection rate. CONSTITUTION: The dust collector includes a charging section, a dust collecting section and an acoustic wave generating unit(14) which irradiates acoustic waves to at least a part of a discharge portion of the charging section. The acoustic wave generating unit irradiates the acoustic waves to a corona discharging area, so that an area where corona discharge is generated is enlarged, and at the same time, a probability of collision between particles is increased for accelerating cohesion of the particles. As a result, the dust collection rate is improved.
