Each disc drive comprises a motor for rotating a record disc under the control of motor drive circuit, a head motor for incrementally moving a transducer and a read/write circuit for processing data read form. The host equipment produces a motor-on signal for the on/off control of the motor. The disc motor drive circuit and at least one, pref. both of the head motor drive circuit and the read/write circuit are connected to a common power line via a power controll switch.
