摘要： A method and an apparatus for refreshing memory cells of a memory are provided to reduce power consumption and to prevent data loss by refreshing only a memory cell to be refreshed selectively. A memory includes a plurality of memory cells(40), a storing circuit and a refresh circuit(19). The storing circuit stores valid bits allocated to at least one sub set of the memory cell. The refresh circuit is connected to the memory cell, and refreshes data stored in the memory cell, and refreshes only a memory cell allocated with valid bits set with an enable value by testing the valid bits. The memory cells are aligned in rows and columns, and each valid bit is allocated to each row of the memory cell.

摘要： A memory circuit, a dynamic random access memory, a system comprising a memory and a floating point unit and a method for storing digital data are provided to store data in the memory as reducing request for storage capacity. According to a memory circuit, a memory controller comprises an input/output circuit connected to a memory array comprising a plurality of memory cells. An address circuit(6) selects at least one of the memory cells for write or read operation. A read circuit(11) and a write circuit(12) are connected to the input/output circuit. The write circuit stores digital data in the selected memory cell, and the read circuit reads digital data from the selected memory cell. A digital-analog(D/A) converter is connected to the input/output circuit and the write circuit. The D/A converter converts digital data with at least two digital bits received from the input/output circuit into one analog value and transfers the analog value to the write circuit, and the digital data is at least a part of a floating point number, and the write circuit writes the analog value in the selected memory cell. An analog-digital(A/D) converter is connected to the read circuit and the input/output circuit. The read circuit reads the analog value from the selected memory cell and transfers the analog value to the A/D converter, and the A/D converter converts the analog value into digital data, and the A/D converter transfers the digital data to the input/output circuit.
