摘要： PURPOSE: A water softener is provided, which can use ion exchange resin homogeneously through the whole housing without any wasting by random mixing of the resin during start up and shut down. By increasing flow rate through a second water inlet, water pass only the resin set above the second water inlet thus enabling water to pass the softener rapidly. The water softener can soften hard water of 100 ppm at a rate of 1.2 metric ton per 1 liter of ion exchange resin. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a housing(110), a pair of mesh nets(118a,118b), a first water inlet(112) and a second water inlet(114). In the housing(110) having a first water inlet(112) at the bottom, a second water inlet(114) at the side top and a water outlet(116) at the top, ion exchange resin(130), protected by mesh nets(118a,118b) at the top and bottom respectively, is filled. The flow rate at the first and second water inlet controlled by a flow control valve(120) is 5:5 to 2:8.
