    • A tray management system according to an aspect of the present invention enables an efficient management of empty trays, and comprises the following components: an empty tray travelling among a consumption position, an occurrence position, and a storage along a track installed inside an airport; an empty tray request receiving unit receiving empty tray request information including an identification number of a first consumption position requesting the requirements of the empty trays, and the requested number of empty trays at the first consumption position; an empty tray request selecting unit selecting the requested number of empty trays from the empty trays positioned on the occurrence position, the empty trays traveling along the tack, and the empty trays stored in the storage; and a destination setting unit setting a destination of the selected empty tray to the first consumption position.
