    • PURPOSE: An apparatus for transferring and injecting a heat insulation material in a blast furnace is provided which fills pressure into the feed tank after injecting an insulation material into a feed tank, collects the heat insulation material by transferring the insulation material to a collection box, and safely injects the same into a runner. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus for transferring and injecting a heat insulation material in a blast furnace comprises a storage part(20) consisting of a storage hopper(22) in which a certain amount of the heat insulation material is stored and first and second feed tanks(28,29) in which the heat insulation material is selectively stored from the storage hopper(22); a transfer part which is consisted of a transferring pickup pipe(31) transferring the heat insulation material from the first and second feed tanks(28,29) and a plural runner distribution valves(39a) at the exit side of a main transfer pipe(33) connected to the pickup pipe(31) so as to transfer the heat insulation material to the selected runner side; a collection part which is consisted of a collection box(41) in which only the heat insulation material remains at the end parts of each of distribution transfer pipes(39) connected to exit ends of the runner distribution valves(39a) after a gas is flown off and upper and lower limit switches(42,43) in which the lower part of the collection box(41) is opened or closed by a cover(44) and which sense upper and lower limit positions of the collection box(41) so that the collection part weighs and collects the heat insulation material; and a discharging part(50) which is consisted of a rotor shaft(52) that is arranged inside the collection box(41) and purging supplies a purge gas as it is being rotated by a rotor(51) so that the heat insulation material is smoothly supplied into the runner when the collection box(41) is opened.

    • A glucose uptake modulator is provided to promote glucose uptake of adipocytes and reduce blood glucose without side effects by using a new ligand isolated from the serum, so that it is useful for treatment of diabetes or diabetic complications. A glucose uptake modulator comprises a serum derived compound selected from lysophosphatidylcholine(LPC), lysophosphatidylserine(LPS), lysophosphatidic acid(LPA) and urocortin(UCN), wherein the glucose uptake modulation for lysophosphatidylserine is inhibited by PKC(protein kinase C) delta inhibitor rotlerine and dominant negative expression of PKC delta and independent from PI3(Phosphoinositide 3)-kinase dependent signal transfer pathway; the lysophosphatidylcholine is myristoyl LPC or palmitoyl LPC; and the urocortin acts as insulin-sensitizer together with insulin. The diabetes or diabetic complications are treated by administering the glucose uptake modulator to a mammal.
