    • A method for removing the bitter taste of a ginseng or red ginseng product is provided to enhance the sensory properties of the ginseng product by using a flavor comprising aldehyde allyl phenol and aliphatic ketone (or vanillin and maltol) as a main ingredient. A method for removing the bitter taste of a ginseng or red ginseng product comprises the step of adding a flavor to the liquid, concentrate or solids of ginseng or red ginseng, wherein the flavor consists of a main ingredient comprising aldehyde allyl phenol, aliphatic ketone, vanillin, maltol, or their mixture; and a side ingredient comprising proline, propylene glycol, glycerin, acetaldehyde, ethanol, or their mixture. The flavor comprises 0.2~1.0wt% of aldehyde allyl phenol, 0.2~1.0wt% of aliphatic ketone, 0.2~1.0wt% of vanillin, 0.2~1.0wt% of proline, 35~60wt% of propylene glycol, and 40~61wt% of glycerin; or comprises 0.5~3.0wt% of vanillin, 0.05~0.5wt% of maltol, 0.05~0.5wt% of acetaldehyde, 0.5~2.0wt% of ethanol, 35~60wt% of propylene glycol, and 40~64wt% of glycerin.

CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing ginsenoside F1 using naringinase comprises the steps of: dissolving saponin of triol family isolated from ginseng or a mixture of the saponin of triol family in a water-soluble solvent or a mixed solvent of a water-soluble solvent and an organic solvent, adding naringinase isolated from Aspergillus niger or Penicillium sp. to the mixture, and reacting them with agitation in a hot water-bath; heating the reacted mixture in hot water to terminate the reaction when the substrate is exhausted; passing the reacted solution through the column packed with ion exchange resin, passing distilled water through the column to remove saccharides and enzymes, and eluting the reacted products adsorbed to the column with ethanol; concentrating the eluate; and subjecting the concentrate to the column chromatography to obtain ginsenoside F1, wherein the saponin of triol family is ginsenoside Re, or ginsenoside Rg1; the reaction temperature is 20 to 50 deg. C; the water-soluble solvent is selected from water, acetic acid, phosphate, citrate, citrate-phosphate buffer solutions; and the organic solvent is selected from acetone, acetonitrile, dioxane, dimethyl sulfoxide, and lower alcohol.

CONSTITUTION: The condensate is produced by carrying out a method comprising steps of (i) carbonizing chaff at a temperature of 300 to 700 deg.C, (ii) passing smoke generated during the carbonization of chaff through a condenser, upon which the smoke is cooled to a temperature of 40 to 100 deg.C to obtain a crude condensate from carbonization of chaff, (iii) maturing the crude condensate for 1 to 6 months, (iv) separating the matured crude condensate to removing a middle phase from an upper phase of hardened oil and a lower phase of curable tar, and (v) purifying the condensate of the middle phase.

The bamboo activated carbon has specific surface area ranging from 600 to 3000 m^2/g. The bamboo activated carbon filled filter material is located between fibrous materials such as cellulose acetate fiber(2). Alternatively, the bamboo activated carbon is uniformly distributed in the fibrous material.
