And carbon monoxide reacts with metallic silicon to form beta silicon carbide intensify binding intensity. And silicon carbide whisker or fiber unites a large graphite particle with a small graphite particle.

    • PURPOSE: An alumina fire-resistant material is provided for expressing improved corrosion-resistant, permeation-resistant abilities, high compression-strength and high temperature rigidity by combining alumina particles with high alumina content raw materials. CONSTITUTION: The fire-resistant material includes 50-99 wt. parts of Al2O3 and 1-50 wt. parts of the entire mixture comprising of beta-SiC, Si3N4, Si2ON2 and, optionally mullite in 20 wt. parts or less. The process for producing the fire-resistant material is to combine and blend 50-99 wt. parts of Al2O3, 1-30 wt. parts of Si metal, 1-10 wt. parts of C and desired amount of binding agent; to form and drying it to produce a formed product; then to calcine the product at 1300-1500 deg.C under CO and N2 mixed gas for 0.1-50 hours. The fire-resistant material may a combination of 50-90 wt. parts of alumina; 1-10 wt. parts of C and 5-20 wt. parts of mullite.

    • PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of heat insulating brick whose side facing the inside of the furnace is coated with black coloring materials having high saturation, is provided to increase emissivity resulting in energy saving. CONSTITUTION: The black coloring materials comprise 2-100wt.% of at least one compound selected from Fe2O3, FeO, Cr2O3, MnO, TiO2 and Co for increase of emissivity and less than 98wt.% of at least one compound selected from Al2O3, SiO2, ZrO, MgO, CaO, Na2O, SiC and C for improvement of coloring effect. The resultant heat insulating brick with black saturation of 0.8 or less is manufactured by the following steps of: preparing black-coloring materials by mixing the above materials with solvents such as water, alcohol and petroleum; applying black colorants to one side of a brick(1) through spraying, brushing, soaking or rolling process; sintering at 500-1700deg.C for 1-7hrs, wherein black colorants are diffused inside the brick and one side of the brick get black for brick forming a black layer(2).
