    • PURPOSE: A solid phase change fluorescent ink and an ink set are provided to function as a standard solid phase change ink but that includes enhanced fluorescent attributes and to be useable in nearly all colors, including dark colors such as black. CONSTITUTION: An ink set comprises a plurality of solid phase change inks, at least one ink but less than all inks of the ink set comprising an ink vehicle, pigment and fluorescence agent and remaining additional inks comprised of an ink vehicle, pigment and free of fluorescence agent, wherein at least a first ink grouping and a second ink grouping of the ink set form a combination, the first and second groupings of the combination exhibiting a substantially same color under ambient light conditions upon image formation, the first ink grouping and the second ink grouping of the combination containing a different amount of the fluorescence agent, wherein upon exposure to activating energy, the fluorescence agent fluoresces to cause a visible change in the color of a pattern formed in an image by the first ink grouping as compared to the second ink grouping.

    • PURPOSE: A radiation curable ink composition is provided to be the liquid of low viscosity in an uncured state, to form an image with resistance to cracking and fading, and to impart durability to the image. CONSTITUTION: A radiation curable ink composition comprises a radiation curable material, a polymeric dispersant, and a fluorescent nanoparticle composition. A method of forming an image comprises: melting a radiation curable phase change ink comprising a radiation curable material, a polymeric dispersant, an optional non-fluorescent colorant including pigment, dye, mixtures of dyes, mixtures of pigments, mixtures of dyes and pigments, and the like, and a fluorescent nanoparticle composition; jetting the radiation curable phase change ink onto an image receiving substrate, wherein the radiation curable phase change ink forms a gel state; exposing the radiation curable phase change ink on the image receiving substrate to ultraviolet light to cure the curable components of the radiation curable phase change ink.
