    • PURPOSE: A rear gas discharging lamp is provided to prevent the amount of light around a conductive material layer from being reduced by installing an external electrode on the corresponding position of a glass bulb. CONSTITUTION: A rear gas is sealed in a glass bulb(11). Electrodes(13, 14) are formed on both ends of the glass bulb. An external electrode is formed on the corresponding position of the external surface of the glass bulb based on the central shaft of a lamp. A fluorescent substance layer(12) is formed over the inner surface of the glass bulb. A first conductive material layer(15) is formed over the corresponding region of both electrodes and a space between the electrodes.

    • PURPOSE: A low-pressure mercury lamp is provided to prevent the generation of cracks by forming a glass layer with the deposition layer of particle shaped glass powder in order to reduce stress. CONSTITUTION: A low-pressure mercury lamp(1) includes a pair of electrodes(13, 14) which is formed in a light emitting tube(10). The light emitting tube is composed of quartz glass. The electrodes include a filament mount which is composed of an inner lead and a filament. Both ends of the light emitting tube are electrically connected with an external lead(17) through a sealed foil(16). A power supplying operation is performed by the external lead. A noble gas including argon and a discharging material including mercury fill the inside of the light emitting tube.

    • PURPOSE: A fluorescent lamp is provided to attach a fluorescent material on a glass layer by forming the glass layer between a quartz glass material arc tube and a fluorescent substance layer. CONSTITUTION: A fluorescent lamp is comprised of an arc tube(1). A pair of band shape electrodes(2a,2b) are arranged on the circumference of the arc tube in longitudinal direction of the arc tube. A protective film(3) is covered on the electrode. An ultraviolet reflector(4) is formed on the inner wall of the arc tube. A glass layer(5) is formed on the inner wall of the arc tube and the ultraviolet radiator. The glass layer and a fluorescent material layer are formed on the whole of the inner wall of the arc tube.

    • A rare gas fluorescent lamp is provided to reduce a starting voltage without a change of a light distribution of a tube axis direction. A rare gas fluorescent lamp(10) includes an arc tube(11), a phosphor layer(12), and a pair of electrodes(13a,13b). The arc tube is filled with a rare gas. The phosphor layer is formed in an inner surface of the arc tube. A pair of electrodes is formed on an outer surface of the arc tube into an axis direction of the arc tube. A pair of electrodes is made of conductive paste. A conductive material(16) is coated on an inner surface of the arc tube with a strip shape. An intersection electrode part is formed on an outer surface of the arc tube. An electrode protecting film(14a,14b) is attached on a glass surface of the arc tube in order to protect a pair of electrodes.
