    • PURPOSE: To provide a temperature sensitive fluid type fan coupling device capable of easily providing a linear characteristic without impairing following rotation performance. CONSTITUTION: In the fan coupling device, an interior of a sealed casing supported on a rotary shaft body fixed to a driving disk is partitioned into an oil sump chamber and a torque transmission chamber internally provided with the driving disk by a partition plate having an outflow adjusting hole for oil, a circulation passage is formed leading to an oil sump chamber side from a torque transmission chamber side joined to a dam provided in one part of an inner circumferential wall face of the sealed casing side, a valve member is provided opening the outflow adjusting hole of the partition plate when external ambient temperature exceeds a set value and closing it when the external ambient temperature is the set value or less, and rotational torque transmission from a rotary shaft body side to the sealed casing side of a driven side is controlled by varying an effective contact area of oil between the driving disk and a torque transmission gap part. It is characterized by that a communicating hole leading to a torque transmission gap provided in a side wall surface of an idle oil sump chamber provided by hollowing an interior of the driving disk is positioned in a proper position near an inner diameter of a torque transmitting part.
