    • PURPOSE: A single strip punching machine and a punching method, which minimizes manufacturing processes by punching a through hole in one direction of a strip, are provided to improve the productivity and quality of a storage battery by protruding burrs in one direction of a strip. CONSTITUTION: A single strip punching machine comprises a punching unit. The punching unit comprises a needle block, a punch block(120), a fixed block(140), a movable block(130), a spring(150) and a drive motor(160). A plurality of puncture needles is projected from the needle block. The puncture needle is inserted into a plurality of insertion holes of the punch block. A plurality of insertion holes is formed on a strip conveying path. The guide rod is inserted into the linear bush of the movable block.
