    • PURPOSE: A process of preparing a functional beverage by extracting Salicornia herbacea L., which grows naturally in a south and west coastal area of the Korean peninsula, with hot water and then adding to a beverage is provided. Whereby, the product has superoxide dismutase like activity, skin whitening, hypertension preventing and anticancer effects. CONSTITUTION: Salicornia herbacea L. is mixed with distilled water in a ratio of 1:1, heated, centrifuged for 10 to 15min, concentrated and then freeze dried to -70deg.C. Thereafter, 0.01 to 10% by weight of the Salicornia herbacea L. extract is mixed with 0.1 to 1.0% by weight of a laver extract, 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of citric acid, 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of vitamin C, 5 to 15% by weight of fructose, 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of Stavion, 0.01 to 0.1% by weight of a green laver flavor and 0.005 to 0.05% by weight of a soda pop flavor.

    • A fabric and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve stability and durability of the fabric by using persimmon extracts, and improve a functional property and comfortableness of the fabric by using capsule type oriental materials and natural materials. A persimmon juice is prepared by mixing pulverized persimmon and refined water at a ratio of 100:1-50:50. A fabric is sufficiently immersed in the persimmon juice. A pressure is applied to the immersed fabric by using a padding mangle. The treated fabric is naturally dried to produce a persimmon liquid fabric. Stabilized capsules are manufactured by preparing a solution, enriching the solution at a temperature of 35-55‹C, and then freeze-dried at a temperature ranging from -50‹C to -70‹C. The solution is obtained by mixing 0.01-25 wt% of polymer, 0.01-25 wt% of oriental materials or natural materials, and 50-99.8 wt% of ethanol having a concentration of 70%. The persimmon liquid fabric is immersed in an aqueous solution containing 0.01-10 wt% of the capsules for 0.5-5 hours so that the persimmon liquid fabric is impregnated with oriental materials or natural materials of the capsules. A pressure is applied to the resultant fabric, and then the fabric is naturally dried.
