    • PURPOSE: Provided is a method for bending a glass sheet which allows a flat glass sheet with various designs to be bent without generating wrinkles or optical distortions or without fusing a glass sheet to a mold. CONSTITUTION: The method for bending a glass sheet comprises compressing a glass sheet heated to have a viscosity of 10¬5 Pa.s-10¬8 Pa.s in a mold having a predetermined bending surface to obtain a shape corresponding to the bending surface. The method comprises the steps of: controlling the temperature(T) and the time interval(t) during bending the glass sheet so as to satisfy the following mathematical formulae 1 and 2; and bending the glass sheet. In formulae 1 and 2, (pi) is the surface pressure difference between the pressure applied to the main surface of the glass sheet and the pressure applied to the back surface of the glass sheet at the time (tau), t is a time interval(sec.) during bending, eta(T) is the viscosity(Pa.s) of a glass sheet at the temperature(T), and T is the bending temperature(deg.C) at the time (tau).
