    • PURPOSE: A multi-colored pearl pigment is provided to ensure excellent glossiness by alternatively arranging a low refractive material layer and a high refractive material layer around a reflective layer made of a metal layer with excellent reflectivity. CONSTITUTION: A multi-colored pearl pigment is formed by alternatively arranging a low refractive material layer and a high refractive material layer around a metal layer which is a reflective layer. The metal layer is at least one kind selected from Al or Cu. The low refractive material is at least one kind selected from MgF2, CaF2 or cryolite. The high refractive material is Fe2O3. The thickness of the metal layer is 50~150 nm. The thicknesses of the low refractive material layer and the high refractive material layer have different coordinates, wherein λ is 350-750 nm.

    • A pearlescent pigment is provided to realize a multichromatic effect with high gloss, and to realize an improved thin film deposition ratio under vacuum, thereby realizing high productivity and cost efficiency. A pearlescent pigment comprises a low-refractive index layer and a high-refractive index layer stacked alternately with a metal layer as a reflective layer, wherein the metal layer comprises at least one selected from Al and Cu; the low-refractive index layer comprises at least one material selected from MgF2, CaF2 and cryolite; the high-refractive index layer comprises at least one material selected from AnS, SnO2 and Sb2O3; the metal layer has a thickness of 60-100 nm; the low-refractive index layer has a thickness corresponding to an integer-fold of the optical thickness 1/4 lamda; and the high-refractive index layer has a thickness corresponding to an odd number-fold of the optical thickness 1/4 lamda, wherein lamda is 380-720 nm.

    • PURPOSE: A preparing method of a pigment for an external material is provided to provide an external pigment capable of having high luminance and high gloss in spite of having a thin thickness by forming a low refractive layer by using MgO-SiO2. CONSTITUTION: A preparing method of a pigment for an external material comprises: a step of forming pigment powder in which a MgO-SiO2-containing oxide layer is coated on the surface of flake; a step of forming a suspension by mixing the pigment powder into deionized water; a step of dumping CeCl3 into the suspension; a step of controlling the pH of the heated suspension and coating a cerium layer on the surface of the pigment powder by refluxing the suspension; a step of mixing Al(NO3)3 solution into the suspension and coating an aluminum oxide on the surface of the pigment powder by refluxing the suspension; a step of controlling the pH of the suspension while stirring the suspension; and a step of injecting a silane coupling solution into the suspension and refluxing the suspension.
