    • A gas spring is provided to improve reliability by injecting mixed material including at least two or more matters in a compensation chamber, and to reduce the number of parts by simplifying structure. A compensation piston(10) is operated by a working medium(1M), a compensation medium(16M) expanding to increase volume of a working chamber(1a) in increasing temperature in a compensation chamber(16), and a restoring medium(15M) decreasing volume of the working chamber in a restoring chamber. The critical temperature of the compensation medium is between the first temperature equal to the lower temperature of the operation temperature range of a gas spring(50) and the second temperature which is 100 ‹C higher than the upper temperature of the operation temperature range of the gas spring. The state point of the compensation medium is placed to be more than a vapor pressure curve at the operation temperature of the gas spring below the critical temperature of the compensation medium. The second temperature exceeds the upper temperature of the operation temperature range of the gas spring by about 60 ‹C.
