    • A mononuclear organometallic complex is provided to emit light in a red region with high light-emitting efficiency, thereby being used as a red light emitting material for electroluminescence. A mononuclear organometallic complex is composed of: iridium or ruthenium as heavy metals; and bis(2,2'-bipyridine) and phenylpyridine as ligands in a ratio of 1 to 2. The mononuclear organometallic complex has a structure represented by the formula 1. In the formula 1, R1~R6 are independently hydrogen, halogen, C1-C20 linear or branched alkyl groups, C1-C20 alkoxy groups, C6-C20 aryl groups, C1-C20 alkyl-substituted C6-C20 aryl groups, C5-C20 heterocycle or hetero aryl groups, ketone groups, C1-C20 alkyl silyl groups, alkylaryl silyl groups or dicyanoethylene groups.
