摘要： A solid imaging apparatus and the analog-to-digital converting method and photographing apparatus of the solid imaging apparatus are provided to implement faster analog-to-digital conversion without being limited by the working speed of a counter unit. A comparison unit converts the size of a pixel signal into information of a time-axis direction by comparing a reference signal and an analog pixel signal for converting into digital data. A counter unit performs counting according a predetermined clock from the start point of time of the comparison process to the end point of time of the comparison process in the comparison unit. A multi-phase clock generation unit generates a multi-phase clock having a fixed phase difference according to the predetermined clock. A latch unit latches the logic state of the multi-phase clock when the comparison process at the comparison unit was completed. A decode unit decodes the latch data of the latch unit and obtains a value lower than a count value by the counting.
