    • A method for estimating OFDM timing offset according to the present invention comprises the steps of (a) generating a repetitive structure OFDM preamble having a transmitter (100) of a random sequence, (b) estimating a timing point to a signal path having maximum power in multi-path signals using a timing metric that a receiver (200) obtains from an auto-correlation function and a cross-correlation function, and (c) estimating a timing point of a first signal path in the multi-path signals using a reciprocal of a sample average value of the timing metric generated by multiplying the auto-correlation function and the cross-correlation function by the receiver (200). The present invention is able to calculate the sample average and dispersion values including all of possible signal paths for the cross-correlation function of a receiving signal and obtain tenacity against an instant power change in the signal path using the timing metric for maximizing the change by the first path, thereby improving performance in a radio communication system using the OFDM method.     • PURPOSE: A symbol combination based Alamouti transmission method for collaborative communication in a fading channel is provided to obtain a cooperative diversity gain through asynchronous collaborative communication. CONSTITUTION: A source node inserts a CP(Cyclic Prefix) for interference cancellation between symbols(403). The source node transmits transmission blocks to two relaying nodes. Each relaying node performs complex multiplication in received symbols(404). Two relaying nodes transmit symbols in which the complex multiplication is performed to a destination node(405). The destination node obtains an alamouti code structure by removing cyclic prefix from the received symbols(406). The destination node decodes data(407).     • PURPOSE: A cooperative communications system and an OFDM s symbol transmission method thereof are provided to prevent serious bit error rate performance degradation of data decoding due to the time synchronization error of a relay node by inserting a new cyclic prefix symbol. CONSTITUTION: Four OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) blocks which are expressed one OFDM block as imaginary number double of a conjugate complex number of the other OFDM block are created by mixing successive two OFDM blocks in a source node. Time domain OFDM blocks are created by executing inverse discrete Fourier transform to the four OFDM blocks. A transmission OFDM symbols are created by inserting a first cyclic prefix symbol to the time domain OFDM blocks. The transmission OFDM symbols are transmitted to a plurality of relaying nodes. A plurality of relaying nodes creates encoded electrical transmission OFDM symbols.

    • PURPOSE: A spread spectrum code acquisition apparatus and a method thereof are provided to has detection probability robust to an FDFO and maintain uniform electric power regardless of an FDFO value by using the sum of two continuous correlation output values as a determination value. CONSTITUTION: Based on the comparison of a determination variable with a predetermined threshold value, it is judged whether or not a code is obtained. A code acquisition discrimination unit(340) judges based on the comparison whether or not the code is obtained. A PN code generator(350) generates a PN code and provides an asynchronous correlation unit with the generated PN code. An oscillator(360) generates a Doppler frequency offset estimation value and provides the generates the estimation value to a multiplier.
