    • A ramp and a hard disk drive having the same are provided to prevent scratches on a disk caused by contact between a head slider and the disk, securing data stored in the disk and to keep air inside the hard disk drive clean with a filter in an air circulation hole for increasing collection of fine particles. A hard disk drive comprises a disk serving as a data storage medium, a head slider(140) for reading data recorded in the disk, and a ramp(150) disposed adjacent an outer periphery(106) of the disk and where the head slider is parked. The ramp comprises an air circulation hole(160) introducing the air flow caused by rotation of the disk to the inside and circulating the air inside the ramp, and at least one air channel(165) extending from a side surface(164) opposite to the head slider to the air circulation hole.

      개시되는 하드 디스크 드라이브의 브래킷 구조는 액츄에이터를 구동시키기 위한 유연성 인쇄 회로와, 상기 유연성 인쇄 회로가 결합되는 브래킷(bracket)을 구비하는 것으로서, 상기 브래킷은 상기 유연성 인쇄 회로에 끼워지는 보스(boss)를 포함하고, 상기 유연성 인쇄 회로 및 상기 브래킷과 별도로 형성되는 금속성 평판이 상기 브래킷의 적어도 일면에 결합되는 것을 특징으로 한다.
      본 발명에 따른 하드 디스크 드라이브의 브래킷 구조에 의하면, 유연성 인쇄 회로에서 버어에 의해 발생되던 단락 및 펀칭 홀에 의해 발생되던 공기 누설 현상을 효과적으로 방지함과 동시에, 상기 유연성 인쇄 회로의 전자파 간섭(electro-magnetic interference, EMI)을 저감하고, 베이킹(baking)시에 상기 유연성 인쇄 회로가 변형되는 것을 방지할 수 있다.

    • PURPOSE: A hard disk drive having a disk and a magnetic head protector is provided to prevent damage of a data zone of a disk by preventing the data zone from contacting with a base plate or cover plate. CONSTITUTION: A housing includes a base plate(111) and a cover plate(112). A spindle motor(130) is installed on the base plate. At least one or more disks(120) are mounted on the spindle motor to be rotated by the spindle motor. An actuator(140) has a magnetic head rotatively installed on the base plate for writing data on the disks or reading the data from the disks. At least one or more disk protectors(151,152) are installed on a top surface of the base plate and a bottom surface of the cover plate. The disk protectors are protruded toward the disks at a predetermined height at positions corresponding to outline parts(123) where the data is not written. A plurality of magnetic head protectors(153,154) are protruded at a predetermined height toward a suspension(144) at parking zones where the magnetic head is mounted.

CONSTITUTION: Air spaces(102,104,106,108) are formed on a cover(100). Airspaces(102,104,106) are formed at three portions of an edge of the cover surface centering around a rotating center axis of a motor. The air space(108) is formed at a side of a voice coil motor(VCM) with a rectangle shape. A cover damper is adhered to the cover(100). Air spaces(102,104,106,108) are formed between the cover(100) and the cover damper.

The base(100) has a lower yoke. A projecting portion is located in a certain location of the base(100) and performs a conventional function.

The flexible printed circuit(1) has a soldering pad(2). A contact point(3) is located on the soldering pad(2).
