    • An apparatus for removing image sticking in an LCD device is provided to enhance image quality by controlling a display unit to allow stable discharge of a liquid crystal cell in case of an abnormal power off. An apparatus for removing image sticking includes a modem(201), a logical operation unit(207), and a driver(211). The modem outputs signals(203) for controlling the modem and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) device. The logical operation unit calculates the signals and delivers the result to the driver of the LCD device. The driver controls a display unit of the LCD device based on signals(209) from the logical operation unit. The modem enables the signal for resetting the modem in power off and the signal for resetting the LCD device in a normal power off or a sleep mode.

    • A resonance structure for improving a speaker sound of a portable terminal is provided to form more improved sound pressure by using metal-made case frame and sound insulation materials even though the same speaker devices are applied in speaker phone mode, thereby outputting high-quality voices and sounds. A lower metal case frame is equipped with a certain space inside by being combined with an upper metal case frame(121). At least one of speaker devices(21,22) is mounted on a portion of spaces formed by the upper and lower metal case frames. Sound insulation materials(31,32,33) of certain thickness form certain sound pressure of speaker sounds emitted from the speaker devices, by being installed to surround the speaker devices.

    • An apparatus and a method for charging in a portable terminal are provided to reduce heat during communication by being controlled to discharge current required for communication during the charging of the portable terminal. An apparatus for charging in a portable terminal includes a communication unit(202) which provides communication by transmitting/receiving a wireless signal. A power supplying unit(204) is charged by receiving current to supply power. A required current verification unit(210) identifies the required current amount according to transmission signal power at the communication unit. A charging current control unit(206) is set to receive a current amount corresponding to the required current amount identified at the required current verification unit from a charging device. A power managing unit(208) receives the current set by the charging current control unit from the charging device to supply the current to the power supplying unit.
