    • An apparatus and a method for charging in a portable terminal are provided to reduce heat during communication by being controlled to discharge current required for communication during the charging of the portable terminal. An apparatus for charging in a portable terminal includes a communication unit(202) which provides communication by transmitting/receiving a wireless signal. A power supplying unit(204) is charged by receiving current to supply power. A required current verification unit(210) identifies the required current amount according to transmission signal power at the communication unit. A charging current control unit(206) is set to receive a current amount corresponding to the required current amount identified at the required current verification unit from a charging device. A power managing unit(208) receives the current set by the charging current control unit from the charging device to supply the current to the power supplying unit.

    • A resonance structure for improving a speaker sound of a portable terminal is provided to form more improved sound pressure by using metal-made case frame and sound insulation materials even though the same speaker devices are applied in speaker phone mode, thereby outputting high-quality voices and sounds.     • An internal charging apparatus in a mobile communication terminal is provided to determine whether a battery is mounted by hardware by constituting an internal charging circuit using a voltage detector and a switch, thereby reducing loads of the mobile communication terminal. An internal charging apparatus in a mobile communication terminal comprises the followings: a power supply unit(201) for supplying external power; a switch(203) for sensing power outputted form a battery and supplying the external voltage supplied from the power supply unit to a voltage detector; the voltage detector(205) for comparing the voltage supplied from the switch with predetermined reference voltage and outputting high or low signal; and a power managing IC(Integrated Circuit)(207) for outputting power on/off signal according to a signal outputted from the voltage detector.
