    • An FET(Field Effect Transistor)-based detection device for biomolecules and a method thereof are provided to detect the biomolecules through non-covalent bonds of adsorption media without fixing or pre-processing the biomolecules. An FET-based detection device for biomolecules includes source and drain areas formed on a semiconductor substrate with a distance from each other, adsorption media having adsorption sites for biomolecules to detect on the surface thereof, standard electrodes for applying a predetermined voltage between the source or drain areas and the substrate, and an electric signal detecting element for detecting electric signals generated by the applied voltage. The adsorption media are selected from a group consisting of glass, silicon, and plastics.

An apparatus for calibrating an optical scanner includes a substrate onto which molecules capable of forming excimer are fixed. The apparatus includes a blank space where the excimer molecules are not fixed. The optical scanner includes at least one light source, a scanning unit, and a detector. The light source generates at least one coherent light beam at a specific wavelength. The scanning unit scans the coherent light beam on the surface of the substrate. The detector detects light generated from a sample region on the surface of the substrate.
