    • A signal combining apparatus capable of satisfying the maximum transmission capacity in a cellular system utilizing a distributed antenna and a resource allocation method using the same are provided to maximize the transmission capacity of the whole cell by sharing channel information of MSs which are randomly distributed in a cell through a wired link between BSs or RSs when signals are coupled in a wired RS system. A base station(BS) compares the channel transmission capacity of a single repay station with the channel transmission capacity obtained by coupling signals of two or more relay stations, in order to select the bigger transmission capacity. One or more relay stations(RS2,RS3) transmit channels to mobile terminals(MS1-MS3) in a single type or a group type. The mobile terminals receive channels from the base station or a single relay station, or channels obtained through the signal coupling from a group of relay stations.

    • PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for transmitting/receiving data in point to point communication are provided to transmit and receive by differentiating the size of a reception buffer from the size of a data reception buffer. CONSTITUTION: A first buffer(142) temporally stores file data, and a second buffer(143) temporally stores message data which indicates the response to the file data. A data transmission unit(146) and a data reception unit(145) respectively transmits and receives the file data and the message data. According to a data transmission and reception mode, a control unit(141) controls a buffer connection unit(144) in order to the first and second buffers to the data transmission and reception unit and the data reception unit respectively.

    • A TDD type remote workstation sharing a low noise amplifier in an uplink and a downlink and a wired relaying method using the same are provided to maximize efficiency in hardware construction more flexibly. A TDD type remote workstation sharing a low noise amplifier in an uplink and a downlink includes a base station(402), a WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) optical element(404), optical receivers(406,408), a TDD switching signal control & distribution unit(412), an LNA(Low Noise Amplifier)(414), an HPA(High Power Amplifier)(418), an RF coupler(442), an RF circulator(420) and an antenna(426). The base station inputs downlink optical signals of two wavelengths. One optical signal has control information for operating an RF switch existing a remote station on the basis of TDD, and the other optical signal has a downlink service data signal. The WDM optical element divides the two optical signals from each other. One optical receiver receives one optical signal, converts the optical signal into an electrical signal, and transmits the electrical signal to the TDD switching signal control & distribution unit. The TDD switching signal control & distribution unit distributes the TDD control signal to each RF switch. The other optical signal receiver receives the other optical signal and converts the optical signal into an RF signal. The LNA receives the converted RF signal, performs low noise amplification for the RF signal and outputs the RF signal to the HPA via the RF switch. The HPA transmits the signal to the antenna via the RF coupler, the RF circulator, and a band pass filter.
