    • A display device and a driving method thereof are provided to generate sensing signals for line and column coordinates of contact through one sensor, thereby uniformly generating a sensing signal of each coordinate. A display panel includes upper and lower substrates facing each other as leaving a space for an LC(Liquid Crystal) layer. Plural first sensing signal lines(SY1~SYN) are extended in a line direction on the lower substrate. Plural second sensing signal lines(SX1~SXm) are extended in a column direction on the lower substrate. Plural sensors(SU) are disposed in an area defined by the first and second sensing signal lines, and connect the first and second sensing signal lines to each other through contact. The plural sensors output sensing signals for the contact to the first and second sensing signal lines. A sensing signal processor(700) reads the sensing signal from the first sensing signal line and the sensing signal from the second sensing signal line at a different time and processes the read signals.

    • A display substrate, a method for manufacturing the same, and a display device having the same are provided to reduce the distance between a shielding electrode and a common electrode, thereby preventing the disturbance of liquid crystal disposed between neighboring pixel electrodes. A pixel electrode(112) is disposed in a pixel region(140). The pixel electrode is electrically connected to a drain electrode(118c) through a contact hole(116a). A shielding electrode(113) is disposed on an organic protrusion pattern, and electrically connected to the pixel electrode. The shielding electrode encircles the pixel electrode so that the boundary between the shielding electrode and the pixel electrode overlaps the boundary between a signal transmission region(150) and the pixel region. The shielding electrode is disposed to protrude more than the pixel electrode. As the result, a strong electric field is formed between an opposite substrate and a common electrode to prevent liquid crystal from being disturbed between neighboring pixel electrodes.
