    • PURPOSE: A cold working alloy steel for powder metallurgically manufacturing tools having superior ductility, hardness, wear resistance and fatigue resistance is provided. CONSTITUTION: In a cold working alloy steel for powder metallurgically manufacturing components having high ductility, hardness, wear resistance and fatigue resistance, particularly tools having oxygen content of 100 ppm or less and nonmetallic content and molecular arrangement corresponding to the maximum 3 KO-value according to test of DIN (Deutsche Industrie Normen) 50 602, the cold working alloy steel comprises 2.05 to 2.65 wt.% of carbon (C), 2.0 wt.% or less of silicon (Si), 2.0 wt.% or less of manganese (Mn), 6.10 to 9.80 wt.% of chromium (Cr), 0.50 to 2.40 wt.% of tungsten (W), 2.15 to 4.70 wt.% of molybdenum (Mo), 7.05 to 9.0 wt.% of vanadium (V), 0.25 to 2.45 wt.% of niobium (Nb), 10.0 wt.% or less of cobalt (Co), 0.3 wt.% or less of sulfur (S), 0.04 to 0.22 wt.% of nitrogen (N), 1.50 wt.% or less of nickel (Ni), 2.6 wt.% or less of impurities, and a balance of contaminant containing iron (Fe) generated during manufacturing.
