    • PURPOSE: An exhaust gas purification apparatus and an exhaust gas purification method are provided to stabilize the temperature of a filter in forced regeneration of the filter. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas purification apparatus comprises an oxidation catalyst(6) installed to an exhaust passage(4) of an engine(2); a filter(8) installed to the exhaust passage lower than the oxidation catalyst, to collect particulate materials in exhaust gas; a first additional fuel control unit injecting first additional fuel into a cylinder after main fuel injection of the engine, in forced regeneration of the filter; a second additional fuel control unit supplying second additional fuel to the oxidation catalyst after the first additional fuel injection if the oxidation catalyst rises to activation temperature; a temperature detection unit(10) detecting the outlet temperature of the oxidation catalyst; an RPM(Revolutions Per Minute) detection unit detecting RPM of the engine; a load detection unit detecting load of the engine; and a second additional fuel supply amount-setting unit setting up second additional fuel supply amount according to the information from the RPM detection unit and the load detection unit and changing the second additional fuel amount on the basis of the information from the temperature detection unit.
