    • The aim of the invention is to shorten heating start up time at the time of a heating operation, and to improve heating capacity. The vehicular air conditioner of the invention is one with an air conditioner using a heat pump, with a compressor unit 20 equipped with a variable capacity compressor 31, a throttling resistance 34 and a four way valve 33, connected by a refrigerant path 30 to an indoor heat exchanger 25, and an outdoor heat exchanger 21, which executes a cooling operation and a heating operation by switching a direction of the flow of the refrigerant, provided with a blower fan 24, and a heater core 26 connected to an engine cooling water system 37, wherein there is provided an air conditioning unit 23 with, the indoor heat exchanger 25 and the heater core 26 arranged in sequence from an upstream side in a casing 23a which serves as a flow path for the intake air, and an air flow path 35 formed in a part above heater core 26, and provided with a damper 36 for switching the air flow path 35 between a fully closed and a fully open condition.

    • PURPOSE: An air conditioner for a vehicle such that air inside a vehicle room can be homogeneously conditioned and weight of the rear-engine type vehicle can be reduced is provided. CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner is provided in a vehicle with an engine (3) disposed at the rear portion thereof. The air conditioner has an air suction unit (15a) composed of an inside air duct (21), outside air duct (22), inside/outside air switching damper (30) which selectively determines from which side of the inside air duct (21) or outside air duct (22) air should be taken in, and a fan (blowing means) (31) provided at a downstream side of the inside/outside air switching damper (30). The air conditioner also has an air adjustment unit (15b) comprising a heat exchanger (heat exchanger for cooling) (33) and heater core (heat exchanger for engine) (35) which are disposed midway of a passage of the air introduced via the air suction unit (15a). Furthermore, the air conditioner has a duct (16) which causes the air to flow from the rear to front of the vehicle and is provided with a blower for blowing the air in the cabin.

    • PURPOSE: To increase startup speed of a heating operation and improve heating performance. CONSTITUTION: The air conditioner for a vehicle is a heat-pump type comprising an interior heat exchanger (25), exterior heat exchanger (21) and a compressor unit (20), and performing cooling and heating operations by switching flow direction of a coolant. The compressor unit (20) is provided with a variable capacity compressor (31), a throttle resistor (34) and a four-way valve (33), all connected via a coolant channel (30). Further, the heat-pump type air conditioner is provided with a blower fan (24) and a heater core (26) connected to an engine cooling water system (37). In a casing in which intake air flows, an air conditioner unit (23), having the interior heat exchanger (25) and heater core (26) disposed in this order from upstream, is provided. An air passage (35) above the heater core (26) and a damper (36) for changeover operations of the air passage (35) into a totally closed state or totally open state are provided.
