    • PURPOSE: To remarkably shorten a joining period of time and also simplify a looper facility as compared with the conventional method such as a flash butt welding method or a laser beam welding method. CONSTITUTION: This steel plate splicing facility is equipped with: a steel plate heating apparatus 100 for heating a preceding material 1 and a following material 2; and a shear-joining apparatus 200 for joining the preceding material and the following material. The preceding material (1) is a steel plate 1 currently undergoing pickling, or pickling and cold rolling, and the following material 2 is the next steel plate (2) to undergo pickling, or pickling and cold rolling. In the shear-joining apparatus, the preceding material and the following material are clamped in an overlapping condition by means of a die 6 and a clamp 5 and are sheared by means of a punch in such a manner as to bring respective newly-formed surfaces in contact with each other for joining.

    • PURPOSE: A cross roll rolling machine is provided to reduce composing members by simplifying a complex driving system and to exactly operate a cross by increasing the hardness of a housing by closing a cross roll and directly rolling a chalk for work roll and a chalk for backup roll with a hydraulic cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A upper and a lower hydraulic cylinders(444,444) geared in an outlet of a upper chalk(42) for backup roll and a hydraulic cylinder(244) geared in an outlet of a upper chalk for work roll(22) are operated by synchronizing. A position is decided by moving pressed materials(441,441,241) to a certain position of cross angle toward the outlet. The upper chalk for backup roll(42) and the upper chalk for work roll are pushed to pressed materials(441,441,241) of the outlet by operating hydraulic cylinders(434,434,234) of an inlet and moving pressed materials(431,431,231) toward the outlet. The upper chalk for backup roll(42) and the upper chalk for work roll are fixed in the certain position of cross angle. A pair of a lower work roll(31) and a lower cross roll(51) are operated in an opposite direction with the upper case. Because hydraulic cylinder(434,444) and hydraulic cylinder(534,544) are arranged in the inlet and in the outlet, the upper chalk for backup roll(42) and the upper chalk for work roll are supported in both sides through a reducing load is large. Thereby an inclination and a conduction of the upper chalk for backup roll(42) and the upper chalk for work roll are prevented.
