    • PURPOSE: Provided is an optical resin obtained from an optical resin composition, which has a good handling property and gives an optical resin having excellent optical properties, particularly a high refractive index and excellent impact resistance. CONSTITUTION: The optical resin is obtained by polymerization of the optical resin composition comprising a sulfur-containing O-(meth)acrylate compound selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formula (1-a), (1-b) and (1-c), wherein R is H or CH3; l is an integer of 2-3; m is 1 or 2; n is 2 or 3; and each of A, B and D is a specific organic group. The optical resin composition optionally further comprises a monomer copolymerizable with the sulfur-containing O-(meth)acrylate compound or a polythiol compound.
