    • An integrated remote controller system for a multi-device gateway in a home network environment is provided to easily control the control and status information of the devices registered in a gateway through an integrated protocol, and to conveniently control and maintain plural devices by supporting a universal remote controller in case such a gateway does not exists. The hardware of an integrated remote controller consists of an MCU(Micro Controller Unit), various memories, an LCD, a communication part, a keypad, an interface part, and a JTAG(Join Test Action Group) part. The MCU covers overall input/output and data processing. The memories, such as an SDRAM, a NOR FLASH, an EEPROM, etc., store execution codes and data. The LCD shows screens to users. The communication part comprises an IR module and an RF module to execute communication between gateways and to serve as a universal remote controller. The keypad receives user commands. The interface part, composed the first and second serial interfaces(Serial-1/2), is provided for input/output. The JTAG part is for debugging.

    • A system for monitoring context in real-time based on the USN is provided to minimize traffic in the USN and enable a monitoring network to fully perform a basic function even if a monitoring server is not operated owing to an obstacle by selecting a single-way asynchronous communication mode centered on an alarm byte. A plurality of sensor nodes forming a context sensor node comprises a context data recognizer for recognizing context data, a context discriminator for generating/interpreting alarm byte data suitable for the recognized context, and a wireless communication protocol for wirelessly transmitting the generated alarm byte data to related nodes in a single way. The context sensor node comprises a local monitoring node classified into a fire/disaster monitoring node(10) and an anti-thief monitoring node(12), an alarm node classified into a local and global alarm node(50) and a video monitoring node(60n) providing video for an area by using an information level and position information of the node received from the local monitoring node. The local alarm node is classified into a fixed local alarm node(42) and a plurality of portable local alarm nodes(44,44n).
