摘要： The invention relates to an artillery fuse (12), in particular with a fuse braking function. During the course of the loading operation of the howitzer for firing ammunition equipped with a fuse (12) of this type, a substantially larger quantity of data than the conventional timing information can be fed into the projectile at the same time as the conventional inductive timing operation, such as initialising information for on-board satellite navigation that is to be carried out after the firing of the ammunition, if the inventive fuse (12) is equipped with at least one data interface (13) that is sensitive to infra-red radiation in the vicinity of its truncated-cone shaped cap (11), said interface co-operating bi-directionally with a coupling element (16). A transceiver is preferably located on the fuse (12) for bi-directional data communication, whilst a ring (15) that can be placed over the tip (14) of said fuse is equipped with at least three transceivers distributed around the circumference of the ring as the coupling elements (16).
